Helping Yourself When it comes to helping yourself  the trick is to do your best to create the best environment for your body, enabling it to self-heal from the stresses of modern lifestyles. Movement and mobility are two of the most important factors with regards to the structure/ function relationship of the human body. Not only does this apply to the muscles, bones and joints, it is also vital for good circulation, organ function and mental well being.

Treatment of Babies and Children The gently nature of osteopathic treatment makes it suitable for helping babies. All the practitioners at St David’s are experienced in the treatment of children and babies, we also regularly attend post-graduate courses to stay up to date.

A brief history of osteopathy

The term ‘osteopathy’ was first used by Andrew Taylor Still in 1874. The origin of the word is from the Greek for bone (osteon) and suffering (pathos).
